Fun Dog Friendly Walks and Hangouts
Battery Park: Located in the Point District Neighborhood, Battery Park was created from “Fort Greene,” a former military battery from the War of 1812. A small, waterfront park, overlooking the Newport Bridge the park is perfect for picnics, sunset strolls and taking in views of the harbor. Semi fenced in with beach access.
Fort Adams Bay Walk: Fort Adams Bay Walk is a dog-friendly trail located inside Fort Adams State Park in Newport, RI. Fido can tag along for this scenic walk, but dogs must be kept on a leash. Fort Adams Bay Walk runs along Narragansett Bay, Newport Harbor and Brenton Cove. Visitors can view multiple lighthouses and the famous Goat Island.

The Grill: The Grill at Forty-One Degrees North is an exclusive dockside restaurant with an entire dog-friendly deck next to the marina. The menu features grilled meats, seafood, and a raw bar as well as organic and locally sourced selections.
Tavern on Broadway: The Tavern on Broadway in Newport, RI, is a dog-friendly eatery housed in a completely renovated, two-hundred-year-old colonial building. Fido is welcome to join you at one of the outdoor tables adjacent to the building. There are outdoor heaters for cooler weather.
